Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa track team will get back on track when it heads to Denton, Texas, to participate in the North Texas Classic on April 14 with field events starting at 9 a.m. and running slated for noon.
The Hurricane will square off with teams from Baylor, UT-Arlington, TCU, Arkansas-Little Rock, Dallas Baptist, McMurry, Northwood, Oklahoma Baptist, Paul Quinn College, Southwest Christian, and Texas A&M-Commerce. In addition, four Olympic medalists from the 2004 Athens games are scheduled to compete at Fouts Field.
Jeremy Wariner will headline the group as the former Baylor standout and Arlington Lamar High School graduate is scheduled to compete in the 200 meters. Joining him with their own Olympic medals on Saturday are scheduled to be his former teammate Darold Williamson, former Texas Longhorn Sanya Richards, and thrower Alex Tammert. Both Williamson and Richards claimed gold medals as members of the 4x400 relay teams in 2004, while Tammert claimed a bronze medal in the discus.
The Tulsa women feature three athletes that have posted regional qualifying marks already this season in Chantelle Willard, Alex Becker and Stephanie Jeffers.

For the men, no one has yet posted a regional qualifying time, but the distance runners have attacked the TU record book.
Edwin Henshaw Has already climbed into the top-5 times in the 3,000m and the 5,000m, while Kyle Dekker and Eric Harris have joined him in the 5,000m. Joel Stansloski climbed to No. 2 on the list in the 10,000m, while in the field events Kyle McGillen has moved into fourth in the high jump.
