Men's Golf Team Returns to the Links at the Windon Memorial Classic

Chicago, Illinois - The University of Tulsa Men's Golf Team returns to the links for their second tournament of the fall this Sunday and Monday, Oct. 4-6, at the Windon Memorial Classic.
TU enters the tournament coming off a fourth-place finish in their season debut at the Shoal Creek Intercollegiate. Leading the Golden Hurricane this season is senior Rob Laird. In three rounds at Shoal Creek, Laird shot a three-over-par 219 and finished the tournament in a tie for fourth-place.
The 54-hole event will be played at the par 72, 7,031-yard North Shore Country Club in Glenview, Ill. In the past the North Shore Country Club has hosted some of the most prestigious tournaments in golf including the U.S Open and U.S Amateur.
Teams will play 36-holes on Sunday beginning at 7:30 a.m. The tournament will finish with 18-holes on Monday morning.
This year's event, hosted by Northwestern University will feature Illinois, No. 17 Kent State, Purdue, Coastal Carolina, Liberty, Missouri, Tulsa, Marquette, San Jose State, Michigan, Santa Clara, Colorado, New Mexico and No. 21 Indiana.
Former PGA Tour members who competed at the Windon Memorial Classic include Tiger Woods, Ben Curtis and Hunter Mahan. Reigning Big 10 champion Jorge Campillo from Indiana will headline this year's field.
